SOM Land Design offers Landscape Design, Installation, and Maintenance servicing the Lower Sunshine Coast, BC (Gibsons to Halfmoon Bay). I am principal and owner, Sarita Opal Moodie, and genuinely look forward to working with you!

I strive to create landscapes that enrich the lives of all users, nurture moments of connection, cultivate a sense of community, and support the ecological and cultural relationships within which they exist. I am an experienced designer with a passion for our natural environment, Permaculture design techniques, and Natural building.

Using my knowledge of plants, and my understanding of design principles, I take a whole system approach to design. Soil, drainage, topography, sun/shade study, plant inventory, and how humans interact with the landscape all need to be given attention before a landscape is designed.

As a designer working with both people and plants, I have learned to stay curious, listen, adapt and, be patient.
